Eytan is an inquisitive 6-year-old boy, who was born with a rare genetic disorder that affects
his speech and cognitive development. Eytan was the first child in the world to benefit from
treatment with an iPad in the water at the Williams Island Swimming and Recreation Center
at Beit Issie Shapiro. We found this solution to Eytan’s communication challenges so that he
could relate to his therapist and thus fully benefit from hydrotherapy.
“Here they believe that the kids CAN. Kids that can’t walk, will walk. Kids that can’t talk,
will talk. They will sing, they will tell stories – and, thanks to Beit Issie Shapiro, that is what
Eytan does today” says Udi, Eytan’s father.
