Endowment Fund

The Beit Issie Shapiro Endowment Program is an opportunity to provide the funding in perpetuity, or for a specific period of years, or through a testamentary device for vital programs and services for the children, young adults and their families served through Beit Issie Shapiro.

  • Perpetuity means that the annual investment returns will be used to provide for the cost of a program based on the “spending policy” of 5% of the principal of the contribution.
  • Specific Period means that a contribution equal to the annual cost of a program will be made each year for at least five (5) years.
  • Testamentary means that funds will be designated through a Bequest, Trust, or Foundation to secure the future of a program.
  • A “Donor Named Fund” may be established for a contribution of at least $50,000. Recognition will be given, as appropriate, in the name of each donor or their designated person.

Please discuss the financial and legal issues and implications of establishing a charitable gift plan with your own personal advisor.
